Marimekko celebrates the Chinese calendar’s Year of the Snake with the Flying Serpent print, created by illustrator Xuetong Wang. This playful design is inspired by the mythical creature Tengshe, a flying serpent believed to control the weather—particularly clouds and rain—and symbolize prosperity and good fortune. These elements are vividly expressed in the print design.
