What do you love most about the season in NYC?

Babba C. Rivera: I grew up watching so many holiday movies set in NYC, which is why this time of year holds a very special place in my heart. I love all the decorations and the overall spirit that this city embodies. Visiting Bergdorf Goodman is a must every holiday season for me, enjoying an uptown shopping day with hot chocolate and ice skating in Central Park. I love this season so much!

What's your go-to formula for creating a standout party look?

BCR: Comfort is key because I’m a firm believer in the fact that we shine the brightest only when we feel truly comfortable in our outfits. I love a loose fit as my belly likes to expand after a delicious dinner, and I also love layering mini dresses with something long sleeve underneath because I hate being cold or feeling too naked. The combination of a leg moment with a more covered upper part is a go-to for me!

Do you have a signature accessory or styling piece that instantly elevates a party outfit?

BCR: Adding a festive touch through a shoe or bag is always a safe bet! I personally love this silver metallic handbag from Marimekko this season, it’s the perfect pop of festive to any look!

Congratulations on your new home! After moving in, what is a holiday tradition you can’t wait to create there?

BCR: Thank you! We can’t wait to have our very first holiday season here. It’s our intention to make this home the destination for all family members and chosen family to gather every year. I used to go back to Sweden for the holidays in the past, but nothing beats the magic holiday spirit that New York has to offer and with our new house, I’m beyond excited to host and fill these rooms with beautiful memories.

What’s one style tip you think everyone should keep in mind when outfitting for a special celebration?

BCR: Don’t be afraid to layer a mini dress with a shirt or turtleneck, and adding a little sparkle through accessories is always a good idea!
