New & hemp-based

The Resonance bag series

The Resonance bag series represents the first-ever products made from the hemp-based Vireo material. Three sizes, two colors, one of a kind. Finally here.

Crafted from over 70 percent hemp, the Vireo material is developed by Hemp Bio, a start-up primarily owned by the Danish textile design company Kvadrat. The Resonance bag series represents another step on our journey towards consistently shifting to using for example, more organic, recycled, and bio-based materials as well as new material innovations.

Material innovation bridging aesthetics and functionality

Hemp is considered a highly regenerative crop. It requires very little water, no pesticides, and it replenishes the health of soil. Thanks to its deep roots, it cleans out residual agricultural pesticides as it grows.

The hemp for the Vireo material is harvested and carded in France, after which it is dyed and treated in Italy with a partly bio-based polyurethane coating for a glossy finish and enhanced durability.

The inner lining of the Resonance bags is crafted from organic cotton, printed at our own textile printing factory in Helsinki, Finland. The series is available in three sizes: small, medium, and large, and two colors: camel and charcoal.
