Marimekko's terms of use for its website

1. By accessing the Marimekko website you agree to the following terms. If you do not agree to the following terms, please note that you are not allowed to use the site.

2. Marimekko's website contains copyrighted material © Marimekko Oyj. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms of Use are reserved. The Marimekko mark and product names are trademarks or registered trademarks of Marimekko Corporation. Other names mentioned may be the proprietary marks of their respective owners. Access to our website may not be construed as granting, by implication or otherwise, any license or other right to use any trademark appearing on the website without the prior written consent of Marimekko or such third party.

3. The use of this site and the content therein, is permitted to private, non-commercial use. The use of press releases and other documents classified as public is permitted in public communications if the source for the information is stated.

4. Marimekko's website and its content is a service provided by Marimekko to its users. The website is provided "as is". Marimekko does not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free. Marimekko reserves the right to make changes to the website or to restrict access to it at any time. Marimekko makes no warranty as to the availability, accuracy, reliability or content of the site. Marimekko shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, loss of profits or business interruption caused by the service or interruption of the service provided on the website, even if Marimekko has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Marimekko's liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by the mandatory provisions of Finnish law

5. Marimekko uses artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to enhance search results on its website by analyzing and utilizing content published on the site. AI is also used for image captioning and to translate content into multiple languages to improve accessibility and user experience. Additionally, Marimekko uses AI to analyze return reasons stated by customers when returning items and user generated sizing feedback in order to give sizing recommendations on individual product pages.

6. Marimekko's website may contain links to websites owned or operated by third parties. When you access such sites, you must read and accept any terms and conditions of use before using them. By accessing the linked sites, you also agree that Marimekko has no control over those sites and has no control over the content of any material created or published on those sites. Marimekko is not responsible for any material contained on any third party site. Furthermore, the inclusion of a third party link to Marimekko's website does not imply that Marimekko in any way endorses, advertises or promotes such website or the products or services mentioned therein.

7. By submitting material to any of our servers, for example, by email or through Marimekko's website, you acknowledge and confirm that: (a) the material you submit is not illegal or otherwise unfit for publication; (b) prior to submission, you have taken reasonable precautions to detect and remove any viruses or other contaminating or destructive features that the material may contain; (c) the material is owned by you or you have an unrestricted right to provide it to Marimekko, and that Marimekko may publish the material free of charge and/or incorporate the material or any part of it into its own products without liability or obligation to pay; and (d) you do not make any claim against Marimekko based on the material you submit and you agree to indemnify Marimekko for any costs Marimekko may incur as a result of any action taken by a third party in relation to the material you submit.

8. Marimekko does not control and is not responsible for the content of material posted by users of its website. Marimekko may, at its discretion, remove any user-submitted material from its website at any time.
